Boutique commercial law firm NDA Law is expanding the team with the appointment of new lawyer Ms Jordana Mintz this month.

Jordana completed her Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) at the University of South Australia in 2020 and previously worked with some of SA’s leading law firms.

She is experienced in commercial transactions, property and construction, estate planning and dispute resolution matters.

Jordana joins the boutique SA firm where she will specialise in the provision of legal advice to family business, agribusiness clients, as well as small-to-medium enterprises in succession planning, wills and estates, and commercial law transactions. She will also assist the firm’s civil litigation team.

Joshua Davies, managing director of NDA Law, said Ms Mintz’s appointment was a welcome addition.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jordana to the team at NDA Law and I know her skills and dedication to the profession will make a great contribution in coming years.”

Mr Davies said on a broader level Jordana’s appointment also highlights new opportunities for women in the legal profession.

“This year most of our lawyers at NDA Law just happen to be women at 6:1. Many of our people are also from minority backgrounds with employees representing countries including Palestine, Greece, China, Croatia, and Cyprus. That’s very different to the normal firm profile in this profession.

“It is no surprise that we have become a real workplace of choice in SA because the firm is known for our female-friendly culture that actively promotes flexible work, leadership pathways, and specialised mentoring to help young women in law get to where they want to be, faster. This includes NDA’s unique ‘women on boards’ training program.

“I am really proud of our boutique approach, our deep expertise, and the efforts we have made to build the skills and commercial acumen of young graduates.

“Research shows striving for greater gender diversity ultimately leads to better business outcomes for business and for clients and slowly the legal profession is waking up to that fact.”

NDA Law has won a swag of industry awards over the past 12 months including: Corporate LiveWire Finance Award for Best Boutique Law Firm in Australia 2020; Finalist 2020 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards; winner Best Tax Law Firm (Australia) Leaders in Commercial Law (Australia), Best Lawyers 13th edition 2020 for commercial law, tax law, wealth management and succession planning; Lawyers Weekly ’30 under 30′ finalist 2020 (Lisa Christo, tax law), Finalist 2020 Law Society of South Australia’s ‘Young Lawyer Award’ (top three finalists, Lisa Christo), ‘Rising Star Award’ (Lisa Christo) Australasian Law Awards 2021.
