Andrea Michaels, Managing Director of NDA Law, has won two new awards this month – the International Advisory Experts Award (IAEA) for Superannuation Law within Australia, and the Corporate LiveWire Award for Legal Professional of the Year

Both the IAEA and Corporate LiveWire Awards are renowned international programs that survey thousands of clients and rely on a comprehensive peer-review process, with finalists assessed by an expert panel of judges.

A feature interview with Ms Michaels will now appear in the 2019 edition of the Corporate LiveWire Global Business Publication, which is published in the UK and distributed globally.

Ms Michaels said she was delighted with the new award wins and said such international recognition was testimony to the growing importance of expert tax advice to business.

“Australian tax and superannuation laws are complex and evolving. Family businesses and corporates value the kind of expert advice that can help them navigate and succeed in an ever-shifting regulatory landscape. Increasingly we are been asked to take a seat at the table to advise boards and executives on their strategies as approaches to things like tax and succession planning have a direct impact on the bottom line.

“We’re proud to be a firm that’s not motivated by how much we can bill: rather, it’s the skill of our team that counts. We win clients with our in-depth knowledge, great client service, and our outstanding commercial acumen. In the global environment, I think this is what matters most.”

In 2018/19, Ms Michaels and NDA Law have been recognised for a growing list of national and international awards including: Best Lawyers list six years in a row for commercial law, tax, and wealth & succession planning, and employment law; Corporate LiveWire Finance Award for Best Boutique Law Firm in Australia; Global Excellence Award for ‘Most Influential Woman in Tax Law – Australia’; ‘Best Tax Lawyer’, International Advisory Expert Awards; 2018 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards (Best Boutique Diversity Firm); 2018 finalist Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards (Professional Services); 2019 APAC Business Awards winner Best Tax Law Firm (Australia), APAC Leaders in Commercial Law (Australia).
